Air Ambulance to Support Neurodiverse Customers
Wickes is proud to have supported The Air Ambulance Service with a donation of 40 pairs of ear defenders, a contribution that will help the charity's new Sensory Borrow Bags initiative. The bags are designed to make the charity's national network of shops more welcoming for people with sensory processing challenges.
The donation from the Rugby Wickes store will help The Air Ambulance Service to provide essential items like ear defenders, fidget toys, and communication cards to children and adults who might benefit from some extra sensory support. The Sensory Borrow Bags are intended to help create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.

Gary Lewis, Store Manager at Wickes Rugby said: "It’s brilliant to be able to support The Air Ambulance Service with this initiative. We're committed to helping local communities, and this project is a great example of that. We’re glad that our donation can play a part in making their spaces more inclusive and accessible for everyone."

Victoria Burman, Chair of the Neurodiversity Network at The Air Ambulance Service said: "We want to thank Wickes for their generous donation. The ear defenders will have a direct impact, helping us to create more accessible spaces for both children and adults who may experience sensory challenges. We’re so grateful for their support in making this possible."
The Wickes Community Programme welcomes all local community groups seeking assistance for improvement projects. Groups interested in applying for a product donation can visit their local store to speak to the manager or find out more by visiting our website at www.wickes.co.uk/community-programme.
